Windows On The Lake is located at 235 Lake Shore Road, Ronkonkoma. The paved parking lot has three handicapped-accessible spaces, two of which are van-accessible. Valet parking is available when events are scheduled. A close ramp leads to the handicapped entrance. The main entrance has a step to the double-doors, and 13 carpeted steps to the lobby area and two party rooms.The Sunset Room requires a step up to the bar area. Multistall restrooms have large handicapped stalls.
The outdoor gazebo is accessible by ramp or five carpeted steps.
The stone terrace requires three steps down from the main entrance, or can be accessed without steps from the driveway area
Events at the lake front require crossing the road and a step up to the grass. A portable ramp is available if needed.

A beautiful, December afternoon brought me to Windows On The Lake. Having never been here before, I was immediately taken with this venue’s charming location. I love interesting settings and beautiful views! Sitting just across the road from Lake Ronkonkoma gives it a fabulous view. Facing west provides spectacular sunsets as well!
One of the first things I noticed was the easily accessible gazebo ( five carpeted steps or a ramp), offering guests one of the outdoor areas where he/she can enjoy the view.
The paved parking lot has three handicapped-accessible spaces, two of which are van- accessible. Valet parking is available when parties are scheduled. Cars can pull up close to the handicapped ramp when needed. If you are using the main entrance you will find a stone entryway and one step up to the double-door entrance. Once inside, there are thirteen carpeted steps to the cozy, welcoming lobby area and party rooms. There are some slight inclines from the top of the steps to the lobby itself.
Both party rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows facing the lake. The Rainbow Room has a wood floor as well as a beautiful, sky-like ceiling. The Sunset Room has the same windows and views in a smaller space. One thing to note in the Sunset Room is that there is a step up to the bar area.
Multi-stall restrooms with large handicapped-stalls are located in a hallway off the lobby.
Besides the gazebo, Windows has a lovely outdoor stone terrace with tables and chairs that are well-spaced. Three steps from the main entrance will get you there. Without using the stairs, you can access the terrace from the parking lot /driveway area.
If attending a wedding on the shore of the lake, one must cross the road and take a step up to the grassy area. If that step is a problem, know that Windows has a portable ramp that can be used to make it easier.
Having seen the beginning of sunset, I can attest to what a bonus this is for any event at Windows. Even if you are not here for sunset, the view from this establishment is enough to make any event extra special.
