We have been fans of Whiskey Down Diner, Farmingdale, since its inception. Now, Farmingdale has a new sibling in Babylon Village. This new venue is double to size of Farmingdale, making it somewhat easier to get a table at this “no-reservation” venue. Even if you have to wait, it is worth it!
Parking is easy in the large lot, with fie accessible spaces. Entering is also easy, through the double doors. There is one step up from the parking lot, or a ramp, if that is easier.
Once inside we were greeted warmly, as usual. Arriving at an off time – 10:45 am., new didn’t have to wait for a table. Choices for seating include spacious booths, banquettes, tables (both high and low) and armless chairs. There is plenty of space and smooth floor for easy navigation. The restaurant is light and airy, including a full bar. The outdoor patio can accommodate another 50 guests.
The menu is the same as Farmingdale, meaning it is always interesting and delicious, with many staples as well as seasonal specialities. Many of the offerings are “homemade” (in house), adding an extra special taste. Our choices of an omelette and breakfast burrito were delicious, as always. The service is always friendly and professional.
Multi-stall restrooms have a large, accessible stall and accessible sinks. There is also a baby- changing station.
No matter which location you choose you will get the same great food and service.
As always, we at Destination Accessible, advise you to visit a venue’s website, www.whiskeydowndiner.com, when planning a visit, to learn more.
