Tai Show Sushi in Massapequa has a friendly vibe and excellent Food. Even if we haven’t been there for quite some time, they greet and treat us as though we were family. Their website says that their, “…goal is to provice (their) guests with an opportunity to relax and enjoy a superlative dining experience.” We certainly agree! They offer, “…an elegant combination of traditional Japanese recipes and sophisticated dishes.” (web)  Everything is always  fresh and delicious. Add that to their warmth and hospitality and you have a combination that can’t be beat.

Parking can be a bit tricky. There are two, accessible parking spaces just outside the street-level, single door entry. The paved,  parking lot is small (front and back). Sometimes it is necessary to find a spot on the street, but that is never far away.

Once inside the front door, you will find a small entryway and another single door to the welcome area. Navigitation within can be a bit tight between tables. There is a bit more room at the tables in the sushi bar area to the left. If you are able to manage it, and are willing to take your shoes off, the tatami rooms are great for privacy.  You can request one when making a reservation.  The sushi bar is low, easily accommodating wheelchair users. There is also a dining area in the rear.  A renovation has added two, large, single-occupancy, accessible restrooms with wheelchair-accessible sinks. There is also a much smaller, non-accessible restroom. There are no baby-changing facilities.

Tai Show Sushi is one of our “go to” restaurants for Japanese cuisine. We especially love their sushi boat for two and their miso eggplant! Their imaginative rolls are also spectacular! It never disappoints!

As always, we at Destination Accessible advise you to check a venue’s website, www.taishow.com, when planning a visit, to know before you go.
