Sawasdee (sah wah DEE) is one of the most common words in the Thai language, used both as a greeting and farewell (website). It is an appropriate name for this welcoming restaurant.  Located in a shopping center, there is ample parking, with many handicapped spaces throughout – four of them located close to the restaurant. As soon as we entered we were made to feel welcome by a very  pleasant woman

Street-level, double doors lead to the small entryway and another single door to large, bar/lounge area. The feeling within is serene, modern Asian , with shades of purple and wonderful wall decor. The main dining room is just beyond this area. Tile floors and well-spaced tables make navigation qute easy.

Their website says that they  “…combine authentic Thai cuisine with modern dining.”  Whatever it says, our family thought it was wonderful!  All of our orders were perfect! We were especially impressed by the way our server listened attentively to one of our sons who has serious food allergies and a very restrictive diet.  His meal was perfect.  We liked everything so much that we returned several days later, for an encore! Again – perfect! This will definitely be a “go to” place for us.

Single-occupancy, handicapped-accessible restrooms are located in the rear. There is a baby-changing station as well.

As always, we at Destination Accessible, advise you to visit a venue’s website, www.sawasdeeny.com, when planning a visit, toknow before you go.
