We were still looking for outdoor dining. Relish, Hauppauge, was a great option. Around the perimeter of the large dining room is a sunroom like area, with large windows all around. If it’s chilly there are heat-lamps to keep one comfortable. Tables and banquettes out here are well spaced, making navigation very easy. If you choose to sit inside, the main dining area is large and airy, with tables, large booths, and a full-height bar.
We pulled in to the paved, parking lot and found three accessible spaces near the street-level, double-door entrance. Once inside, the large welcome area has benches if you have to wait for a table. We had made a reservation so our table was ready for us. I appreciated that we were asked to use hand-sanitizer when we arrived.
This location opened in March, 2020, following the original location in King’s Park. The website says they serve “rich cuisine and abundant local produce.” One can have a “great meal at a fair price.” We certainly agree! We were four people who ordered four different entrees, each of which was delicious. Just to let you know, I have been there again, for lunch, which was just as good! Our server was terrific, making sure everything was to our liking and checking back to see if we needed anything. Being a weekend evening, they were setting up for live music. Unfortunately, we couldn’t stay for it – next time! I suggest checking with the restaurant if you are interested in being there when the music happens (631) 652-0150.
Multi-stall restrooms are located near the entrance. They each have a large, accessible stall and wheelchair-accessible sinks. Unfortunately, there are no baby-changing facilities.
Relish is a place we will definitely return to. We could not have asked for a nicer experience!
