We have a friend’s daughter to thank for us visiting Me & You, Bethpage. Having been there with her daughter, the friend suggested Me & You for brunch on New Year’s Day. It was a wonderful find!
Located in a storefront on Broadway in Bethpage, parking can be found on the street or in the small parking lot behind the building. If you park in the lot there is one accessible space, and you can enter the single door entrance (one step up) from there. If you enter from Broadway, the entry is a street-level, single door, a small entryway and another door to the restaurant itself.
Once inside we were greeted warmly and shown to our table. It was a treat that we were able to make reservations.
Me & You is lovely. The simple decor is pleasing, and it is quite spacious, The smooth, wood floors make navigation easy. Tables and chairs can easily be rearranged according to one’s needs. There is a full-height bar with TVs overhead for easy viewing.
Our server was lovely and so accommodating. We were six people with six different choices plus lots of changes, yet everything was delivered to our table perfectly. From the classic breakfast, to the veggie frittata, huevos rancheros, smoked fish platter, three egg omelet and oatmeal, all were delicious. Coffee (both regular and decaf), and water were replenished without our asking. What could be better? We can’t wait to return and try lunch!
Large, single-occupancy, accessible, restrooms are located in a hallway. We wish that there weren’t any extra chairs and high-chairs piled up along one wall of the hallway, which might make it difficult for someone with a walker or wheelchair.
