A place for lunch and a break while shopping at Century 21 brought three of us to Mama Thereas’s. Since it is so close to Century 21, I walked over to meet my lunch mates. There is plenty of van-accessible, handicapped parking in the large, paved lot. A ramp to the sidewalk is near the street-level, double-door, main entrance. A small entryway and another set of doors led to the pizzeria portion of this establishment. Continuing towads the back I came to the surprisingly large, restaurant area. I found a variety of seating alternatives. There are tables and chairs as well as very comfortable-sized booths. Smooth tile floors and ample space between tables made navigation easy. My dining companions were already seated in a side area comprised only of booths. It was nice and quiet, making for easy conversation.
Our server was lovely, making sure we were taken care of, but never rushing us. Each of us ordered something different. Everything was most enjoyable. Their website says that at “…Mama Theresa’s, Italian food is made with the finest ingredients, lovingly prepared by a staff that considers cooking an art form.” Our lunches confirmed that. Quite a pleasant interlude before returning to serious shopping!
A nice surprise were the large, single-occupancy, handicapped-accessible restrooms. Unfortunately there were no baby-changing stations.
As always, we at Destination Accessible, advise you to check a venue’s website, www.mamathereasas.com, when planning a visit, to “know before you go.”
