As is the case with most diners in the New York area, the Hauppauge Palace is easily accessible. I have been here numerous times for meetings. Today, I was here as a “regular” patron.

Four handicapped (van) accessible spaces are located close to the concrete ramp going to the double door entrance, vestibule (with benches) and another set of double doors. If you are going up the steps you will find four of them.

Once you enter, to the left are  mostly booths and the counter; to the right you will find tables that have ample space between them. There are two private/semi-priate areas for larger groups.

As had been the case when I was there with a group, my server was professional and attentive. She  made sure my order was correct and made sure my coffee was refilled without my having to ask, something I am very appreciative of. The Palace’s website says that they, “…try to meet the needs of our customers at all times…” They certainly met mine!

The multi-stall restrooms have a large, handicapped-accessible stall and baby-changing station.

As always, we at Destination Accessible, advise you to check a venue’s website, www.hpdiner.com, when planning a visit, to “know before you go.”
