We hadn’t been to the Hauppauge Palace Diner in several years and were glad we came back.
As is the case with most diners, it is easily accessible. There are four accessible spaces in the large, paved lot, close to the concrete ramp that leads to the double door entrance. Once inside, there is another set of double doors that get you to the welcome area.
There was a warm welcome as we were shown to our booth. Seating is also available at tables (armless chairs) and a long counter. There is ample space to navigate throughout.
Once again, being a diner, there are so many choices. We were here for lunch and were happy to see all of the lunch specials available.
Our server was more than happy to answer all of our questions. When we finally decided on our choices, they were great. My salad was excellent and my better half said that his burger was perfectly done! It’s always nice when your server makes their way back to you to see if you need/want anything (especially water or coffee). Ours gets five stars for checking on us!
Multi-stall restrooms have a large, accessible stall and baby-changing station.
As always, we at Destination Accessible, advise you to visit a venue’s website, www.hpdiner.com, when planning a visit, to know more about the venue.
We will definitely be back!
