Bow Tie Roslyn Theater is part of the Bow Tie Cinemas chain. It is on Tower Place, off Roslyn Road, in Roslyn, Long Island. It is not as large as its sister in Manhasset and lacks some of the amenities. The individual screening rooms are smaller, but the same comfortable seats are present.
There is some street parking, but we usually park in the municipal lot around the corner. Check the signs, feed the meter. You don’t want to get a ticket.
Entry to the theater is through street-level, double doors. The lobby is small with the concession stand, ticket booth, and restrooms all there. A single occupancy handicapped accessible restroom is available. Sorry, there is no seating to wait for friends. If you crave ice cream, you will have to be happy enjoying it at another time, since this concession stand doesn’t have any.
The theater has two floors. The rooms on the main level are handicapped accessible. The wheelchair companion seating in both rooms is in a designated area at the rear. All the seats in the main area are off one side aisle. Consult Bow Tie’s website about their movie rotation program. This program is also described in the of the Manhasset theater.
As always, we at Destination Accessible advise you to check a venue’s website www.bowtiecinemas.com when planning a visit to “know before you go.”
