An invitation to meet friends for dinner brought us to Bonefish Grill in Rockville Center. We knew nothing about this place, but now that we have been there we will definitely return!

The parking lot, with one handicapped (van) accessible space, has valet parking at all times. Access to the sidewalk is at the handicapped space. The entrance has a revolving door, but there is a street-level, single door right next to it.

Once inside we found a lovely couch at the hostess area, where we sat and waited for our dinner companions. The bar/lounge area is located here as well. The bar offers handicapped-accessible space, as well as the usual full-height space. There are high and low tables in the lounge area.

As we were led to our table, we noticed the smooth, wood floor and ample space between tables. The décor is modern and sophisticated, yet felt comfortable.

The website states that they, “provide their guests with exceptional service by guiding them through (the) innovative menu with seasonal specials featuring the highest-quality, fresh ingredients.”  We certainly concur with this statement.  Our server was delightful and each of our choices for dinner was excellent. We were able to have a delicious, leisurely meal at a very reasonable price, in a lovely setting. What a nice evening!

Multi-stall restrooms with handicapped-accessible stalls and baby-changing facilities are located at the back of the lounge area.

As always, we at Destination Accessible advise you to check a venue’s website http://www.bonefishgrill.com, when planning a visit, to “know before you go.”
