Ben’s of Woodbury is one of a group of restaurants that has been in business for almost 42 years. This traditional kosher deli is one we find to be delicious. We live close to the Ben’s of Woodbury, so it is our “go to” Ben’s, whether for take out or dine in.
Ben’s is located in a small mall on the corner of Jericho Turnpike and Southwoods Road. Parking is available in the large, paved lot with a good number of handicapped spaces.
The street level main entrance is a revolving door. A single door to the left is for handicapped access.
There are a variety of seating options with both booths and tables and chairs. Navigating the dining room is easiest if you head straight to the back. At the back is a large, open area that was easy for me to get to when I was in a wheelchair. It is also nice for larger parties and people with baby carriages. This area is also close to the multi-stall, handicapped accessible restrooms. Baby- changing stations are located in the restrooms.
As always, we at Destination Accessible advise you to check a venue’s website, www.bensdeli.net when planning a visit, to “know before you go.”
