A lunch meeting brought me to Asian Moon in Garden City. Parking in front, on Franklin Ave. is a challenge, and even if you get a spot, it is only good for one hour. Driving around the corner and behind the restaurant took me to the large municipal lot. There are a good number of handicapped-accessible spaces. If you don’t require a handicapped space, parking here was a challenge at lunchtime. Be sure to look carefully at the signs, some limit parking to one hour, some to two, so check carefully!

Once I found a space, I walked over to the “back” entrance of Asian Moon. A 1/2 step up, through the single door took me to the restaurant itself. If you come in through the street-level, double doors on Franklin Ave, you are treated to a lovely Asian feel. Beautiful decor and subtle lighting set the stage for what is to come. Tile and wood cover the floors and there is ample space for navigation between the banquettes and tables.

There were a large variety of lunch specials to choose from. The website says that they serve a “Pan-Asian menu – Asian Cuisine with a modern twist.” My lunch partner has been here many times and made several suggestions. After tasting the shrimp  I ordered, I thought that I probably would not have gone wrong with any choice. Lunch was delicious! Our server was lovely making sure that we were happy with our choices and making sure that our tea cups were always filled. This was something that  we greatly appreciated on this cold, rainy day! Lunch could not have been  any better!

Large, single-occupancy, handicapped-accessible restrooms are located off the dining area.
