Taby’s is a restaurant we have frequented for many years. Located in the village of Oyster Bay, it is a coffee shop style place with excellent food and very pleasant service. We think they have some of the best burgers around!
If you enter from Audrey Avenue (the main entrance), you will find a single door, three steps up and another single door to the restaurant itself. If you drive around the street to the large parking lot in back, you will find a ramp, single door, hallway, and another door that gets you into the back of the dining room. This parking lot also services Town Hall, so, if you cannot find a handicapped space near the restaurant, you can find spaces near that building.
Taby’s is not spacious by any means. Tables and chairs are close together. The aisles are narrow but manageable. The floor is tiled. There is a back area that has a bit more room. Ask to be seated there if you need to.
Single-occupancy, handicapped-accessible restrooms are located in the hallway leading to the parking lot. There are no baby-changing stations.
Taby’s is almost always busy, attesting to its popularly, which we think is well-deserved.
As always, we at Destination Accessible, advise you to check a venue’s website, when planning a visit, to “know before you go.” Unfortunately, Taby’s does not have its own website. You can check Yelp, Tripadvisor, etc. for further information.
