Once again we had the good fortune to have friends invite us to dine with them at a restaurant that specializes in Szechuan Cuisine. Spicy Home Tasty in Commack was a treat! Great food as well as great service in a pleasant setting made for a wonderful meal.
The small parking lot has two accessible spaces right near the concrete ramp leading to the single door entrance. If you use the steps there are two of them.
Once inside we were greeted pleasantly and shown to our table. There is adequate space to navigate. There are also booths and banquettes for seating. The dining room is not large, and the decor is very pleasing.
Their website states that they “focus on providing healthy, fresh and natural dishes to satisfy the modern customer’s tastes… using only the freshest of ingredients of the highest quality to achieve the best flavors and presentation.” If our meal was an indication of what they do, we can say that they certainly achieve their goal! Everything we had was absolutely delicious. From the Chile Oil Dumplings, to the Spare Ribs, Kung Pao Chicken, Moo She Pork, and Spare Ribs, we could’t have asked for a tastier meal. Our server was delightful and accommodating, making sure that everything was to our liking.
The single occupancy restaurants have accessible toilets. Unfortunately, the sinks are not accessible for a wheelchair.
