Two accessible spaces are located close to the street-level, accessible, single door entry in the small, paved, parking lot in the rear of the building.
I found ample street parking when I arrived to meet a friend for lunch.
There are two steps up to the main entrance, as well as a street-level, accessible entrance to the right of that. Once inside, I found a charming atmosphere with tile floors, wood accents, and vintage carousel horses.
The full height bar area is on this entry level. There are tables and booths as well as high-top tables in the rear. The multi-stall restroom in the rear of the bar is quite small and not accessible.
To the right of the entrance are two steps up to get to the roomy booths.
This is a large venue, with another dining area. If you enter through the street-level door, or from the parking lot, you do not need to encounter any steps to be at a table. There is also a large, accessible, single-occupancy restroom in the rear of this dining area. Make sure to tell the host/hostess of your needs, or call ahead about where you need to be seated. Based on how understanding everyone sounded when we spoke, we are sure you will be accommodated to the best of their ability.
Our server was lovely, very helpful and pleasant. My shrimp tacos were absolutely delicious, as was the chicken sandwich my friend ordered. We were checked on often, with drinks replenished without our having to ask!
It was a lovely, relaxed lunch. We understand that there is live music several nights a week. We suggest checking with the restaurant to be sure.
As always, we at Destination Accessible, advise you to visit a venue’s website, www.postofficecafe.com, when planning a visit, to “know before you go,”
