Several recommendations made us visit Park Place Restaurant and Bar for a late lunch. We are certainly glad we did. Wonderful food, and pleasant service in an accessible venue, made for a great lunch.

There is a small parking lot in back of the free-standing building. Two accessible spaces are located near the easily accessible, street level, single door.

If you enter the main entrance, there are two steps up. You can also access the ramp from the right side of the building.

Once inside we followed the hallway to the lounge area and dining rooms,  We found a full-height bar and some high top tables in this area.  The dining area, although not large, is very easy to navigate, with tables well spaced.  It was lovely to find tablecloths on each table.

The decor is modern, yet warm. We felt very comfortable as we were served delicious, warm bread and butter before we even ordered.

Our server was friendly and helpful.  The Chicken Hero was delicious and HUGE, The Avocado BLT was also a great choice. We couldn’t have asked for anything better!

Restrooms have a large, accessible stall. The sinks may be accessible. We are not sure that a wheelchair user could fit comfortably under them. There is a baby-changing station. We would like to suggest that the hooks on the back of the accessible stall be moved lower down. A wheelchair user would not be able to reach them.

We understand that there is outdoor patio seating in warm weather. We will have to give it a try. We also heard that there is music on the weekends. You may want to check that out.

All in all Park Place Restaurant & Bar was a great find.

As always, we at Destination Accessible, advise you to visit a venues website, www.parkplacefp.com, when planning a visit, to “know more before you go.”
