With more than 1800 locations, it is not difficult to find a Panera Bread. The one we chose for lunch today is located at 1082 Old Country Road in Plainview, Long Island. This restaurant is a little different from some of the others because it has a drive-thru. A Burger King was here before, so I guess the developers took advantage of the configuration.
Panera started its journey by baking fresh bread everyday. Through the years, the chain has progressed to serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as snacks. The management is committed to making wholesome fresh food. It is a pleasant place to eat either alone or with friends. After quickly getting your food, you can stay as long as you want. Nobody bothers you and the restaurant has WiFi.
There are designated handicapped spots in the paved parking lot right in front of the street level entrance. Two sets of double doors lead into the spacious dining area that has both booths and tables with chairs. It is easy to get to the multi stall restroom with a large handicapped accessible unit. A baby changing station is inside the restroom.
We enjoy going to Panera for good food and conversation.
As always, we at Destination Accessible advise you to check a venue’s website www.panerabread.com, when planning a visit, to “know before you go.”
