“People want to be treated right and pay a fair price. That’s our goal!”  (website) We can say that both of those things are true at Over Easy, Huntington.

Over Easy is a bright and airy spot on Gerard Street, in Huntington. Parking must be found on the street or in a nearby lot. At 1:00 pm on a weekday, we easily found a spot on the street.

The street-level, single door leads to a small, but entertaining entryway, where you can add your creations to the chalk walls. From here another single door gets you to the pleasant dining area. Tables with armless chairs are well-spaced, making navigation very easy for all. There are also some banquettes along one wall, as well as a full-height bar.

The menu is varied and inventive. There are lots of breakfast and lunch choices. At the moment they are only open for breakfast and lunch. That may soon change. Stay tuned!

We both opted for breakfast choices – different omelettes that were both delicious.  Our lattes and cappuccinos were excellent as well. We have only nice things to say about our server, who made sure everything was to our liking.

In the rear an incline leads to the two, large, single-occupancy restrooms. Toilets are accessible, (with handrails). Unfortunately, the sinks in both restrooms are not wheelchair accessible. The other problem in the restroom is that the location of the towel dispenser could be difficult for a wheelchair user to access.  We hope that these things can be remedied in the future.

If you can manage the sink situation, we certainly recommend Over Easy for a great meal, with friendly service, in a lovely venue.

As always, we at Destination Accessible, advise you to visit a venue’s website, www.overeasyhuntington.com, to “know more before you go.”
