A summer business party brought me to Nola Kitchen & Cocktails in Merrick. What an amazing experience!
I found plenty of parking behind the building with accessible spaces in several areas.
As you enter from back here you are in a lovely, tented, patio area that has been designed so that you don’t notice you are basically in the backyard of the restaurant.
It is visually appealing. Part of this area is under cover and part of it is “under the stars.” There is also an L-shaped lounge area, which is so nice!
Tables and chairs ( with arms) were set with linen tablecloths and napkins. This was a lovely prelude to the fabulous food that began to appear. First came delicious garlic bread, followed by tomato and mozzarella, zucchini sticks, salad, shrimp, chicken, potatoes, veggies ad pasta. Everything was mouth-watering.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention how wonderful the staff was. Each of them made sure that we didn’t want for anything! They are also delightful people!
If you don’t want to sit outside, Nola has a beautiful, and easily accessible inside. The dining room is lovely, with ample space throughout. One can easily navigate between the tables and chairs (armless). If you prefer, there is a full-height bar.
The large, single-occupancy restrooms are accessible as well. A nice plus is that there is a baby-changing station.
As always, we at Destination Accessible, advise you to visit a venue’s website, www.nolaseafood.com, when planning a visit, to learn more about the venue.
I can’t wait to visit with my better half!
