Magnolia Playground is a wonder inclusive and accessible playground. It is a great space for wheelchair users and kids in general.

This was the first park I visited on Long Island that included an accessible swing, where wheelchair users can stay in their wheelchair and be put on a swinging platform, via  a ramp to enter and exit the swing.

Located right next to the boardwalk and beach, Magnolia playground provides a beautiful location to take a day trip if you want to visit the beach and have fun in a well-built playground. There are accessible parking spaces across the street from the playground on West Broadway within sight of the playground.

Magnolia playground features an accessible swing for wheelchair users, with a harness to safely secure a user into the swing.  The playground has a lot of ground play activities for children through age 12 and all abilities.  There is a shaded area for sitting with tables for sitting. There is plenty of room to navigate with a wheelchair.

On a windy but sunny March afternoon, the playground was filled with children enjoying the play structures. This is a playground I’d recommend visiting during the summer, as the boardwalk and proximity to the beach create a fun and relaxing environment.
