An early morning with no traffic (unbelievable) left me with time for some breakfast before my appointment. As I passed The Lake Grove Diner, I decided to stop – what a good decision!

The large, paved parking lot has three accessible spaces close to the concrete ramp, which leads to the single door entrance. Once inside this door there is vestibule with benches.  From here,  walk through the double doors and you are at the welcome area.

I was warmly greeted and shown to a booth. Besides booths there are tables and chairs (armless) that have adequate space between them.  Some spots might be a bit tight if the dining room is full. Almost forgot to mention that there is the requisite counter as well.

The menu is quite extensive. Their website states that they serve “…a little bit of everything.” That certainly seems to be the case. For breakfast there are a good number of “specials” what include a choice of juice, fresh fruit or oatmeal, plus coffee, along with what I would call the entree. I ordered one of them and it was terrific. Not only was the fruit very fresh it was very plentiful.  What a nice surprise.

This seems to be a welcoming “local” venue. A good number of the people who sat near me seemed to really know the waiter, etc. It gave me a good feeling to see how good everyone felt about being there.

Multi-stall restrooms (with an accessible stall) are located in a separate area that requires going through a door to the area and then another door to one or the other restroom. It is unfortunate  that the sinks are not accessible to wheelchair users.
