Krinti Mediterranean Grill, located in Woodbury Commons, Woodbury, NY., is a “true Mediterranean experience…” (website). We discovered this lovely restaurant when we went with friends who had been there before.
Because of its location in a shopping center, there is ample parking with four accessible spots close to the street level, single door entrance.
The curb cut is not directly in front of the entrance. It at the end of the sidewalk to the left of the entrance.
Enter the first door, then a second, and you come to the welcome area. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. On warmer days you can sit outside if you choose.
Floors are smooth. Seating is at tables and chairs (armless), as well as tall tables near the full-height bar. I would say that spacing between tables is adequate, but not spacious.
As our server filled our water glasses, we noticed that there was a large ice-cube with an orange slice in each glass. What a lovely touch – and quite tasty as well!
The menu has many seafood choices, which was nice. We all settled on kabobs – swordfish, shrimp, and a combo of lamb and shrimp, which were accompanied by rice, asparagus and tomato. They were all delicious!
Our server was friendly and professional, checking on us to make sure all was well. What was especially lovely was that when we got our check, the manager made sure to tell us not to rush, to take our time and enjoy! Almost forgot to mention the delicious pistachio dessert!
Large, accessible, single-occupancy, restrooms are located in a hallway in the rear. It is unfortunate that high-chairs are piled up in the hallway, which could impede a wheelchair user from easily getting to the restroom.
As always, we at Destination Accessible, advise you to check a venue’s website, www.krinti.com, when planning a visit, to learn more about a venue.
