Friday of our week on Cape Cod dawned bright and sunny.  We headed into Hyannis for a walk before a round of golf.  We stopped at the JFK Memorial, about a mile from the center of town, on Ocean Street. If you drive, there is one handicapped parking space in the lot in front of the memorial.


The simple wall monument has a large medallion with a likeness of JFK. It is set behind a pool with a fountain that is reminiscent of the eternal flame reimagined on water. It is quite serene. Stone benches surround the memorial and look out over Lewis Bay and the Hyannis Yacht Club.


The memorial is adjacent to the Korean War Veterans Memorial Park and Beach.  It is a lovely, quiet place.


Take note that the restroom facilities in the park include a handicapped accessible stall that has a long bench and shower.Something one might be interested in if you want to use the lovely beach here.
