If you and your child (grandchildren, nieces, nephews, etc,) have not been to the newly renovated playground in Heckscher Park (Huntington), they (and you) are missing out on an incredible space.
The inclusive play environment, for children of all ages and abilities, is a marvelous example of what every playground should be. Colorful equipment, accessible picnic tables, benches throughout, is there for all, no matter their age or ability. All children can play side-by-side in this wonderful space.
Accessible parking spaces can be found on the streets surrounding the park. There are also two accessible spaces in the small, paved, parking lot next to the Heckscher Museum of Art.

While you are there, take some time to take a walk through this gem of a park. Walk around the pond and see all the wildlife that lives here.
