Our book group was looking for a convenient place to meet for lunch and discussion on a Tuesday afternoon. We decided on Golden Temple, Syosset.

It turned out to be a great choice.  Located in a strip mall ( with DSW) on Jericho Turnpike, parking is plentiful, with two accessible spaces close by in the paved lot.

The street-level, single door entrance, small entryway, and another single door lead to the welcome area.

The decor is a somewhat modern take on traditional Chinese decoration.

Floors and smooth and tables are well spaced, with ample room to navigate throughout.

Being 1:30 in the afternoon,  seating was not a problem. We were seated at a large round table which easily accommodated us. Chairs are armless.

There is a full—height bar, and a semi-private room towards the rear.

The menu is quite varied, with Chinese, Japanese and Thai choices. The Lunch Menu is larger than many we have seen. One of the people in our group has special medical needs and they were able to accommodate her with no problem. Everyone’s choices turned out to be delicious! Our waiter was pleasant and helpful.  We were able to have a lovely lunch, and great discussion in an unhurried manner.

Single-occupancy, accessible restrooms, with baby-changing stations  are located in the rear of the dining area.

At this point we usually tell you to click on a venue’s website when planning a visit, to learn more about the venue.  In this case, when you click on the website, it only takes you to a page to place an order for takeout.

Our book luncheon was terrific. We will be back next month.
