Wanting a place to eat before heading to the Suffolk Theater for a performance, we found Diggers Ales & Eats about a block from the theater. It turned out to be a great choice. Diggers is a very friendly place with good food!

We had found street parking across the street from the theater and walked down to the restaurant. Large, street-level, double doors welcomed us into an iconic Irish Pub.

We were warmly greeted and shown to a table. There is ample space throughout this large venue.  There are several dining areas as well as the large, bar area.

The menu is varied, with lots of items to choose from. After some discussion (of course) two of us decided on chicken salads, one of us ordered a Ruben with cole slaw, and one ordered a Blackened Chicken sandwich. All I can say is that all of the items were so tasty that we opted to return the next night when we had tickets again to another performance at The Suffolk. Our experience was heightened by the friendliness of our server.

Large, accessible, single-occupancy restrooms are located in the rear. There is a baby-changing station as well.

As always, we at Destination Accessible, advise your to visit a venue’s website, www.diggers.com, when planning a visit to “know more before you go.”
