Copperhill, Williston Park, was a wonderful venue for brunch. Everything about it was lovely. From the parking, to our table, the menu and the service, we couldn’t have asked for more.
Parking was plentiful in the large, paved lot. There are two accessible spaces close to the ramp leading to the single-door main entrance. If you want to do the steps, there are five of them. If you need to drop a passenger off, there is a well-positioned bench.
A foyer and another single door got us to the welcome area, where a lovely person greeted us and showed us to our table. We really appreciated that they take reservations for Brunch as well as dinner.
Navigation was quite easy with smooth brick floors and ample space throughout. The tables are unusually well-spaced to accommodate anyone. Something that anyone with a mobility limitation appreciates so much. All of the chairs have arms. There is a lovely bar area (TapRoom) and the Porch Dining Room. We had a table in the Porch area, which is flooded with light through its many windows. Even on this gloomy day, it seemed bright inside. We understand that they have outdoor dining in warmer times.
Copperhill is located in a “…storied 125 year old Victorian farmhouse, whose space has been restored to its farmhouse roots, but with a sophisticated and modern aesthetic.” (website) It is a wonderful combination of Victorian meets Modern with a contemporary yet casual atmosphere. We think it offers quiet elegance, allowing for easy conversation in a beautiful setting.
Our server was lovely, allowing us plenty of time to chat with our brunch companions and peruse the menu. He was very knowledgeable and helpful as we pondered our choices. In the end, there were three different choices for the four of us and everyone loved what they had. Not only was the food delicious, and our server great, he did not rush us at all. We were able to enjoy a wonderful meal, at a leisurely pace, in a wonderful setting!
Multi-stall restrooms have a large, accessible stall, and accessible sink, as well as a baby-changing station.
As always, we at Destination Accessible, advise you to check the venue’s website, www.copperhillny.com, when planning a visit, to “know more about your destination.”
We think you will enjoy it as much as we did!
