Wednesday of our week on the Cape brought rain so we looked for some indoor activities to do. Having been to the Cape Cod Potato Chip Factory, we decided that Cape Cod Beer might be another good place to visit. A flat, paved parking lot is right next to the building. There are picnic tables and benches for good weather days.
A single door got us to the entry area, which also serves as the gift shop and ticket purchasing area for the tour. The lobby area has two single occupancy restrooms, with one being handicapped accessible.
Double doors led us into the tour area. This tour was more like an information session with our guide describing the process as well as the various products they manufacture. We were able to sit and listen while viewing the surroundings. It was quite interesting and informative.
As you might expect, tasting followed touring. Always a fun activity! You can also purchase snacks to accompany your beer. Potato chips at one stop, beer at another. This rainy day wasn’t so bad after all.
As always, we at Destination Accessible advise you to check a venue’s website, www.capecodbeer.com, when planning a visit, to “know before you go.”
