A business holiday luncheon was my introduction to Caffee Amici, in Selden.  It turned out to be a wonderful gift to great Italian good and warm, friendly service.

Located in Independence Plaza, there is ample accessible parking throughout the large, paved lot. Depending on where you park, you may have to find the curb cut, if you need one.

There are street-level, double doors to enter the foyer and then another door to the “front of the house,” where I found a brisk, take out business .

From here I made my way through the crowd to the dining areas in the rear. Our group had one of the areas to ourselves, which was quite lovely,

Considering that this was a group event, I was amazed at the variety of choices available for lunch.  It was difficult to decide, but with the help of others who have frequented Caffee Amici regularly, I was able to make a decision – Zucchini noodles, Chicken and Pesto was delicious!  The house salad and garlic bread were great as well.

Besides tables and armless chairs, there are a good number of booths and a large full-height bar area.  Even though it was a weekday lunch hour, the Caffee was bustling, a tribute to their great food and service.  Our servers were friendly and pleasant to all, making our event even nicer.

Floors are smooth and there is adequate space to navigate.

Multi-stall restrooms have a large, accessible stall and accessible sinks. It is so nice to see that soap, towels, etc. are at a good level for a wheelchair user. Thank you to the people who designed it.

Everything about Caffee Amici was lovely. I will definitely return so that  my better half can enjoy it as well!
