This was my third visit to Brownstones Coffee and each one was a good as the one before. It had originally been recommended by several friends, now we are doing the recommending. This is a wonderful place for breakfast, brunch or lunch – no dinner – they close around 3:00.

Two handicapped(van)-accessible spaces are located near the ramp in the paved parking lot. The single door entrance leads to a welcome area, with a bench.

Their website says that their look came from childhood memories of rowhouses and front stoops in Brooklyn. But it’s their “inspired menu creations, along with specialty coffees and teas that satisfy modern day appetites.” Their “turn-of-the-century” decor makes one feel warm and welcome.  Adding to their look is their welcoming staff, friendly and efficient, always checking to see that thing are OK. The menu is interesting and delicious. My granddaughter loved her Mickey Mouse Pancakes, and her dad loved his French Toast Bites. Wraps and omelettes were enjoyable as well. Specialty coffees and teas abound! In a short amount of time this has become a “go to” place for me.

Tables, banquettes and booths have adequate space between them. There is also room to change the seating configurations to accommodate various size parties. Tile is on the floor.

Large, gender neutral , single-occupancy, handicapped-accessible restrooms are located in the rear.

Take note, they do not take reservations, but have some sort of a YELP wait system, which I do not quite understand. I do know that there are long waits on the weekend.

As always, we at Destination Accessible, advise you to visit a venue’s website, www.brownstonescoffee.com, when planning a visit, to “know before you go.”
