We had theater tickets for a Sunday matinee on Broadway. Where to have lunch? Our friends made a reservation for the four of us at “Bond 45,” a place wead never heard of, but which turned out to be a very good choice. We don’t know if it was because it was a holiday weekend or not, but at 1:00pm on Sunday, July 5th, we did not need a reservation.
We found two street level entrances, one of which is a revolving door; the other is double-doors leading to the bar area, located to the right of the dining area. The restaurant has two floors with eight steps needed to get to the second level (no elevator). The main floor is large enough, with booths, tables and chairs and adequate space to maneuver. We were shown to a table on the upper level. If you are making a reservation and need the main floor, please tell them. The brunch menu offered a nice variety of items. Our omelets and salads were quite tasty and the service was excellent. We were not hurried at all, enjoying a leisurely meal before heading to the theater.
“Bond 45” is open from early to late, serving everything from breakfast to late night fare. If you are planning to dine here I would check the website to see which menu is offered at the time you are considering.
A single-occupancy, handicapped-accessible restroom is located on the main level, at the back of the bar area. Multi-stall restrooms are located on the lower level (eight steps down). There are no baby-changing stations in either location.
