Dinner with friends brought us to BiVio Ristorante, in Huntington. The lovely weather make it a great choice for dining outdoors on the patio.
Since 2012, BiVio has “…authentic Italian flavors… the chef uses only the finest, freshest ingredients to make your dining experience one you will not forget.” Excellent food, friendly and professional service made for a great dining experience for our group.
The paved parking lot has two accessible spaces. The street-level, double door entry was easy to open. There is a small entryway and another door to the hostess desk.
This is a cozy place, with a full-height bar, tablecloth covered tables and flat carpet on the floor. At the moment tables are very well spaced. We do not know how it will look as Covid restrictions ease.
Getting to the patio required walking through the dining room to a small hallway and out the door. As we went outside, I was surprised to see that there were two brick steps down to the patio. Once I was seated, I noticed a ramp to a lower patio section. If you cannot do the steps, you can enter this area directly from the street. You can choose to sit in this lower level, or use that small ramp to get to the upper dining area. You can sit completely outside, or within the three sided tent that is set up. Either way it is quite lovely out there.
If you choose to sit out here and want to use the restroom without any steps, you can go back to the street and enter the restaurant from there to use the restroom. It is located in the rear of the main dining area, close to the back door.
Unfortunately, besides the issue with the steps, the restroom is not accessible. If handrails were installed, it could be accessible for all except wheelchair users The sink is not accessible either.
