Salted On the Harbor is a small, family owned establishment with a warm bistro atmosphere, friendly service and good food.
Located in the heart of Northport, across the street from the park and town dock, it is a must for summer dining. Get a seat at one of the sidewalk tables, enjoy the food, look across the street at the water, and then take a stroll along the dock. Look out at beautiful Northport Harbor, check out the shops on Main Street and perhaps stop for some ice cream or frozen yogurt. If you are lucky you might be there on a night when there is a concert in the park.
Parking has to be found on the street, or across the street, in the town lot. Take note that parking close by can sometimes be a problem.
On the beautiful evening we were there, it was quite crowded. A mix-up with our reservation caused us a long wait for our table. Our server was very understanding – offering us appetizers “on the house,” a really nice thing to do!
All of our food choices were excellent. Voo Doo Steak, Salted Summer Salad, Edamame Guacamole, and Tuna Nachos were among the delicious items we tried.
Although we dined “al fresco,” you may want to dine inside. A street-level, single door leads to this small venue, with tables, banquettes and a full-height bar. Floors are wood. There is adequate space to navigate.
There is one single-occupancy, accessible restroom located in the back.
It’s still summer and we will be back!
