Notes: The recent renovation is wonderful!
Premier Diner, which we generally refer to as the Commack Diner, has always been one of our favorites.
Now it is even better, and more accessible, thanks to the innovative extension and renovation that was recently completed. This new area has garage door type windows that can be opened completely in nice weather, helping the COVID situation and bringing the outdoors in, for all. Not only have they added this section, they also seem to have reconfigured part of the dining area, removing some of the booths and opening everything up for a very spacious look and feel. It was wonderful for my friend, who uses a walker, to easily navigate to our table. Booths can still be found in one section, as well as the full-height counter.
Once we were seated, we were happy to see that their great food and service has not changed. No mater what one orders, you can know that it will be delicious!
Multi-stall restrooms are located down the long hallway. There is a large, accessible stall and sinks, as well as a baby-changing station.
Almost forgot to mention that the paved, parking lot has four accessible spaces very close to the entrance.
As always we at Destination Accessible, advise you to visit a venue’s website, www.premier-diner.com, when planning a visit, to “know before you go!”
