It’s the middle of September, and still warm enough for dinner outside. Ciro’s, Kings’ Park was where friends invited us for an early dinner. Known as a family restaurant, a family birthday celebration was just breaking up as we arrived. We know that they have a sister venue in Hauppauge. After our wonderful experience here, we will have to plan a visit there.

The outdoor dining area that had been set up took a good portion of the parking lot, but there was no trouble parking close by, on the street. The paved lot has two handicapped spaces.

Access was  easy, just walk under the tent and you are in. The table-cloth covered tables are very well spaced.  The indoor dining room seemed to have the tables set far apart as well. Everyone had their masks on properly. Menus can be scanned on your phone. Our server was quite lovely, very pleasant and professional. She was well versed about the menu options. She accommodated our needs/wants with a smile, and checked in on us often. The four different entrees we ordered were  excellent!  I particularly loved that we were never rushed. We were even offered seconds and thirds on our coffee!

The multi-stall restrooms are easy to get to. They have a handicapped-accessible stall and wheelchair-accessible sink. If you go in through the door closest to the outdoor dining area you will need to go up one step. If that step is a problem you can go around to the double-door, main entrance, where there are no steps.  There is a baby-changing station in the ladies’ room.

We had a delicious meal, with great service, in a relaxed atmosphere. The only thing we would have liked to see was more obvious placement of hand-sanitizer. There were many more people dining outside, yet the only sanitizer we saw was just inside the main entrance. We have noticed that, when sanitizer is readily available, people tend to use it. That can only be helpful to all of us.

As always, we at Destination:Accessible, advise you to visit a venue’s website, http://www.cirosrestaurants.com">www.cirosrestaurants.com, when planning a visit, to “know before you go.”
