“Enjoy a relaxed dining experience on the Great South Bay at Babylon Village’s only waterfront restaurant.” We have been here before and enjoyed it, so we took advantage of a beautiful summer day, made a reservation, and returned.
We parked in the gravel parking area out front. There is one dedicated accessible space quite close. If the lot is full, drop off your passenger(s) and look for street parking. Located in a residential neighborhood, don’t take a chance and park in a spot that indicates “permit parking.” We saw the police issuing tickets. They also have “boat docking,” if you are coming by boat.
The street-level entrance leads to a small welcome area. There are several indoor dining rooms, where the tables are well-spaced. We had requested an outdoor spot and were lucky to get one facing the water! There is a variety of seating outside; some picnic style tables and benches along the dock, some high tables and stools farther down the dock, and two dining areas with gravel underfoot, that do not have a view.
Our server could not have been nicer. She was very friendly, yet professional, making sure that everything was to our liking. Our food was delicious! the Caesar Salad was huge. The Tuna Tartare could have been a main course. The Lobster Nachos were enough for four and the scallop and shrimp entrees were excellent as well. Wonderful food, wonderful service, plus a lovely view make for a wonderful dining experience.
Single-occupancy restrooms are located in the rear dining room. Unfortunately, they are quite small and not accessible at all. If you can manage the restroom, we definitely recommend Tres Palms.
As always, we at Destination Accessible, advise you to visit a venue’s website, “http://www.trespalms.com">www.trespalms.com“, when planning a visit, to “know before you go.”
