Sumou Sushi is located at 760 Montauk Highway, East Patchogue. Two (van) accessible parking spaces are located near the stone walkway to the street, level, single door entrance. Tile covers the floor. There is a small bar in front and a seven seat (table height) sushi bar in the rear of the dining room.

Tables have adequate space between them. The single-occupancy restroom is located in the rear. The door open into the bathroom, making it difficult to get a wheelchair inside. There are handrails and an accessible sink.

Time between appointments always gives me an excuse to find a new venue for lunch. Sumon Sushi seems to be a rather “laid back” restaurant with attentive service and good food. This stand-along building with simple clean clines and a large sign can’t be missed. The large, paved parking lot has two  (van) accessible spaces close to the street-level, single door entrance. A large, paved patio looks as though it might have tables out here, but there an none as of today. Once inside the first door, I found an entryway with several benches. Entering the restaurant through the second door, I found wood floors, contemporary decor and ample space between tables. There is a small bar to the left of the entrance, and, in the rear, a seven seat sushi bar with traditional seating height that is easily accessible for all.

Their website says that they offer, ” a fresh and eclectic blend of Japanese cuisines…”  All I have to say is that my sushi lunch was delicious ! My server was quite attentive and seemed to genuinely care that I found everything to my satisfaction.

The single occupancy restroom has a handrail, but is tight for a wheelchair, with a door that opens in, rather than out. The sink is accessible.
