East Bay Diner is well-known for the good food and large portions. We had never been here until 8:45 on this September night. They must be doing something right beause, even at that hour, we had a 1/2 hour wait for a table. We were not disappointed – our choices were excellent and we had enough left over for at least another meal. Besides that, our server was extremely pleasant and efficient, obviously liking what she does!
East Bay is handicapped-accessible. Three handicapped (van)-accessible spaces in the paved, parking lot are located close to the ramp leading to the entrance. If you are walking the steps you will find nine of them. Once you get to the top there is a bench just outside the first set of double doors, an entryway with benches, and another set of double doors to the waiting area (where there is also seating). So, if you have to wait, you have a good chance of having a place to sit.
Two large dining areas have a combination of booths and tables, as well as the usual counter, with ample space to navigate throughout. Floors are all tile.
Multi-stall, handicapped-accessible restrooms are located in a separate area to the left of the entrance. There is a baby-changing station here as well.
We usually tell you to check a venue’s website when planning a visit but, East Bay does not have a website. If you have any questions or concerns call (516) 781 – 5300.
