A business luncheon brought me to Seasons 52 in Roosevelt Field, a restaurant I have visited many times. Technically, it is located in Roosevelt Field; however the restaurant cannot be entered from within the mall. It has a street-level, double door entrance near the movie theaters. Complementary valet parking is available as a courtesy to diners. If you do not wish to do this passengers can be dropped off at the stone walkway. Handicapped parking is located close by.
The first set of double doors lead to a nice size tile entryway, and another set of double doors. This will get you to the hostess desk and waiting area, which has a sofa and additional chairs. The website describes this venue as “…a casually sophisticated setting.” A large, full-height. wooden bar, upholstered booths and banquets, soft lighting and an open kitchen contribute to the warm atmosphere. Ample space between tables makes navigation easy. Some of the booths require a step up. If this presents a problem, mention it when making your reservation, or mention it to the host/hostess before being seated.
The menu is described as, “the best of each season… straight to your table. Seasonally inspired… featuring ingredients at their peak of freshness.” This plus “… an ever-changing selection of global wines…” (website) make for a delicious experience. Since our group had a limited menu I cannot speak for the entire menu. Our flat breads were delicious and everyone was equally happy with his/her main courses. The variety of “guilt free, teeny” desserts (served in shot glasses) made everyone happy to try one. We all agreed that they were excellent! We had one server for about 20 of us and she was amazing! She was friendly and professional. Every order was correct. She made sure we all had full water glasses and drinks at all times. Quite an accomplishment for just one person!
Multi-stall restrooms with a large, handicapped-stall (including a sink within), is located just inside and to the right of the entrance. There is a baby-changing station.
This is an easily accessible, lovely restaurant that I will continue to return to. As always, we at Destination Accessible advise you to check a venue’s website, http://www.seasons52.com, when planning a visit, to “know before you go.”
