Eddie’s is located at 2048 Hillside Avenue, New Hyde Park, NY.Parking is available on the street or in the large, paved lot behind the building The street-level entrance has one door, leading to the full-height bar area. Several booths are in the back of this area, or in the dining room next door. Floors are carpeted; tables and booths have ample space between them.
A single-occupancy restroom located at the back of the each room. They are quite small and not handicapped-accessible. There are no baby-changing facilities.

Eddie’s Pizza (of New Hyde Park) has been around for a long time. Some stories say “over 50 years,” some say, “since the 1930s.” Whatever the case, Eddie’s has been a staple for thin-crust pizza for quite a while. Its ongoing claim to fame is its thin, crisp “bar pies,” which are really personal size pizzas, with an infinite choice of toppings. Our favorite is the veggie pie, topped with so many veggies you almost can’t see the cheese and sauce! It makes me feel “virtuous,” about eating my veggies! The menu offers many other items, including great salads Our personal favorite is the antipasto.
Eddie’s is what I would call an unpretentious, vintage, local bar and pizza joint that feels “homey” to me! You walk in the street-level, single door to find the long, full-height bar. There always seem to be people in conversation here. Keep walking to the hostess area for a seat. There are several booths in this bar area. The dining room is separated from the bar area by a wall. Tables and chairs, along with several booths are well spaced for easy navigation.
We love the thin crust pizza, so this place is perfect for us. The service is always “service with a smile,” as well as efficient.
Be aware that Eddie’s is “cash only.”
Parking can be found on the street, or in the large lot behind the restaurant. There are several handicapped spaces back here.
The only real problem is the restrooms. Unfortunately, the two, very small, single-occupancy restrooms are not handicapped-accessible. This is really a shame because it makes it “off limits” to many.
