The Green Mountain Coffee Visitor Center & Cafe is located at 1 Rotarian Place, Waterbury, Vermont. Parking is available in a large, paved lot just across the railroad tracks from the restored train station. A ramp or steps gets one to a wide, covered deck, with benches and tables.Double doors lead to the three areas inside - the train station history , the Green Mountain Coffee History , and the cafe. There is also an entrance at the cafe area. The space inside is tight.
A single-occupancy, handicapped-accessible restroom is located in a corner of the cafe.
Several tables and chairs can be found in the cafe. Coffee, specialty drinks and snacks are available.

Another stop of on our list of places to visit in and around Burlington was the Green Mountain Coffee Visitor Center & Cafe, located in nearby Waterbury.
Their website states, “The Green Mountain Coffee experience comes to life in Waterbury’s beautifully restored, historic train station. Learn of (their) passion for making coffee, from “Tree to Cup,” through interactive displays and videos…The Cafe serves up delicious Green Mountain Coffee and specialty drinks as well as…cookies, pies and goodies. Browse a gift shop full of handicrafts from coffee-growing regions around the world…”
Although the information on the websiste is technically correct we would not call this venue a “must see” destination. We think it is more of an interesting place to stop if you are close by and have some extra time and want a cup of coffee.
Parking is readily available in the paved parking lot just across the railroad tracks. Steps or a ramp get one to a wide, covered deck with benches and tables. This looks like a good place to enjoy some coffee on a nice day.
The space inside is a bit tight. One area offers train station history, another offers Green Mountain Coffee history, and a third is the small cafe where one can not only purchase drinks, but also a variety of coffee and coffee making machines. A few small tables are in here as well.
In the corner of the cafe is a single-occupancy, handicapped-accessible restroom.
