Hicks Nurseries is located at 100 Jericho Turnpike, Westbury.Twelve, accessible parking spaces in the gravel lot are close to the main entrance. Entry is via street-level sliding glass doors. The surface of the venue is smooth brick and concrete inside with gravel in the outdoor areas. It is spacious and easy to navigate throughout.
Not sure we can explain exactly where the multi-stall, accessible restrooms are located. Please ask for assistance. Sinks are accessible. There is a baby changing station. There are also two, accessible, single-occupancy restrooms outside in the rear of the white house.

We love Hick’s Nurseries. People have been visiting for more than 160 years. It’s not just a place to purchase plants and garden supplies. With its easy accessibility and lots to see, it is a fun place for all. It is a destination for all seasons. There are always special events going on. With the beginning of Spring, Hick’s Spring Festival is just the thing to get you into the mood for the coming season.
This year’s show, “Game of Gardens,” is one of the best we have ever seen. Playful designs, Bigger blooms and Spring Magic are in the air. Interactive, game-inspired, indoor garden displays focus on classic board games, lawn games and nostalgic play. There is a Giant, Jenga style display, a Kingdom of Confections Garden, a Garden of Life, a Chess Garden, Boardwalk Games and a Lego display. You can even watch a Volcano let off steam!
A scavenger hunt is available daily. A LEGO building workshop, requires registration.
If you get tired while viewing, there are benches throughout for a rest.
Bring the kids! This is a show that is definitely for them.
Then paved, parking lot has twelve accessible spaces close to the street-level entrance. Automatic, sliding glass doors make entering easy. The smooth concrete floor and aisles are wide enough to maneuver easily while enjoying everything they have to offer. If you venture outside to look at the plants, planters, etc. be aware that some of the walkways are gravel.
In addition to plants, patio furniture and garden supplies, Hick’s sells gift items, There are always beautiful and quirky items to choose from. They also have a kids’ toy area.
Multi-stall restrooms, with an accessible stall, accessible sinks and a baby-changing station, are located in a hallway. There are signs to direct you. If you are like me and cannot see them, just ask one of the lovely people who work there They are always happy to help. There are also two, accessible, single-occupancy restrooms in the white building outside. Just go around to the back of the building and you will see the signs.
Hicks is a beautiful place any time of the year. The Spring Festival makes it extra special.
