We have not been to Miko, Plainview in some years. Miko, East Northport is our usual “go to” place since it is closer to our home. We were here for a graduation celebration. It was just as good as we remembered it.  We are usually sushi people. The Hibachi experience was a nice change.

Miko, Plainview is located in the Plainview Centre. Of course there is plenty of parking, including a good number of accessible spaces fairly close to the street-level, double door entrance. The front dining area has tables with armless chairs, booths, a full-height bar, as well as a sushi bar.  The Hibachi Room is located in the rear, requiring an easy walk through to the back. During warm weather there is also outdoor dining available. There is ample room to navigate throughout the venue.

The Hibachi area has armless chairs around the grill. Once we were settled in, we were offered drinks. Our Hibachi chef arrived to make his magic, which he did with flair.  He engaged our group consistently while preparing the meal.  For those of us who did not want to participate, it was fun to watch the others.  Everyone had a great time. Almost forgot to mention that the food was delicious –  from chicken to steak to shrimp to salmon!

We could not have asked for a more fun and delicious experience.

Single occupancy restrooms are easily accessible.

As always, we at Destination Accessible, advise you to check a venue’s website, http://www.mikojapanese.com/plainview/">www.mikojapanese.com/plainview/ to learn more.
