A birthday luncheon brought me to Kyma, in Roslyn. One of several locations of this restaurant, this Kyma is on Old Northern Boulevard. There is a large, paved parking lot with one designated, accessible parking space close to the street-level, double door entrance, An entryway with a bench leads to the welcome area.
As I made my way to the entrance, I noticed the outdoor seating area to my right. The plank flooring, tables with rattan chairs (with arms), and heaters for cooler weather, made this look like a lovely area for dining.
Once inside, I was warmly greeted and shown to the birthday table. The restaurant is beautiful. The modern ambiance mixed with a traditional Greek Taverna look, made me feel as though I was having a second vacation in Greece!
There is ample space to navigate throughout the venue. Banquettes, tables and armless chairs, as well as a full-height bar, make up the seating. Floor-to-ceiling windows one wall let in the sunlight and made for a bright atmosphere.
Everything we ordered was delicious. From the Greek Salad, to the Spanakopita, Tsipouri Filet with Rice, Shrimp, Grilled Chicken breast, and Filet Mignon Souvlaki, everything was cooked to perfection! Our server was terrific, making sure that we had everything that we wanted. He made sure to check on us regularly, making it unnecessary to try and catch his attention. We did not get to try dessert as there was a delicious birthday cake! If we had ordered dessert, I’m sure it would have been just as good as everything else.
Single occupancy, accessible restrooms are located in the rear of the welcome area. Everything in them is within arms’ reach of anyone using the restroom – kudos to Kyma for that!
This was a lovely way to celebration a birthday. I will be return soon!
