On a sunny afternoon in March, Andrew Parise Park was vibrant and energetic as parents, with children, toddlers and pets, along with couples, enjoyed the playground and surrounding amenities of the park.
My girlfriend and I brought her dog, who enjoyed the fun open grass area and was able to sunbathe.
The open space offers nice sightlines and is filled with colorful plants, trees, and grassy areas. Whether you come to have a catch, play fetch with your dog, have a picnic, bring your kids to the playground, or just take a clam stroll and enjoy the views, you will enjoy a relaxing but lively atmosphere. It is a calming and open space that allows people to enjoy and relax at the park. It is a spot I’d visit again to enjoy the fun, open atmosphere.
The playground features open water play spaces, open paths for wheelchair users outside the playground, but limited paths for wheelchair users within the playground. The playground includes a play area for younger children and is accessible to wheelchair users.
Its overall accessibility in terms of location, curb cuts, parking, open spaces and general walkability makes it a nice place to bring your family, friends and pets for a fun and relaxing time.
Restrooms are located in a free standing building next to the playground. There is one accessible stall and sink, along with a baby-changing station.
The one accessible parking spot own Summit Avenue lacks the space for a wheelchair user to exist and enter a motor vehicle safely. The park is located next to the LIRR Cedarhurst Station, while also having a bus stop located near the par.
