For most of the time we lived in Syosset, Celebrity was our “go to” diner. We have since moved and Celebrity has now become Neptune Diner.

We returned with friends to check out this “new” diner.

Parking was always easy, and it still is. Three accessible spaces are located close to the concrete ramp leading to the double door entrance. Once inside, you will find a good size entry-way, complete with benches. Another set of double doors gets you inside with the new semi-circular counter area straight ahead. It really makes quite a statement and welcome to the beautiful new decor.  Modern, with a touch of retro make for lovely ambiance. Although there was adequate space to navigate before, there seems to be more space throughout.  I especially liked the new rounded booths that have room for chairs as well as the upholstered, rounded seating. This offers more options for those with mobility issues.

There seems to be a good combination of booths and tables (with armless chairs) to accommodate all.

We had a short wait for a booth. Once we were seated, our server was quick to welcome us. We were not rushed at all as we spent some time catching up with our friends and perusing the large menu.  As it typical with most diners, you can get anything you want at any time of day or night.  When we finally decided, our choices ranged from pancakes, to a tuna melt, to a wrap and large salad.  Everything was quite good.  Coffee and tea were refilled easily. All in all we had a lovely dinner with friends in a relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Multi-stall restrooms are located in a hallway in the rear of the right side dining area. They have a large, accessible stall and accessible sinks. There is also a baby-changing station.

As always, we at Destination Accessible, advise you to visit a venue’s website, when planning a visit.  Neptune Diner does not seem to have one as yet.
