Baja Burrito, located on the Killington Access Road, is the place for “Mountain Mexican Food.” This venue is not ADA accessible but, if you can manage the way things are, this is a fun place with good food and pleasant service.
There are two accessible parking spaces near the entrance in the paved, parking lot. There is a high step from the lot to the wooden ramp leading to the single door entrance. When we were here, there was a lot of snow on the ground and the area could have been cleared better, with better access to the door. There is also a lip at the door making it necessary to take another step up.
Inside, we were treated to a fun space, with colorful decor. All seating is at booths that require a step up to them, or a u-shaped bar with stools.
Once we were shown to a booth, a basket of nachos and delicious salsa came to the table. Our server was very pleasant. The menu offers a wide variety of items, including a nice “Kids’ Menu,” as well.
Our enchiladas and burrito were not only delicious, they were large enough to share or take home for another meal.
The restrooms are are quite small and not accessible. They are down a narrow hallway. There are no baby-changing facilities.
As we said at the outset, if you can manage the impediments to accessibility, Baja Burrito is a good choice in Killington.
As always, we at Destination Accessible, advise you to visit a venue’s website, www.bajaco.com, when planning a visit, to “know before you go.”
